Toohey Meats

We are proud to be transparent about how we raise our animals. About their life style, about their reproductive cycles and many many other things. Here is a little bit about some of our practices:

 

• Q: Where are the animals kept? A: We breed and grow our own animals free ranging on our own farm in Northern Victoria.

• Q: What are the animals fed? A: Our lambs are grass fed and also on lupens and beans for protein. Our cattle are grass fed. All of our animals are antibiotic and hormone free. 

• Q: What are the reproduction cycles of the animals? A: Sheep are pregnant for 142-152 days. Cows are pregnant for around 9 months.
